Singing Stream Savior is built around local processing. It requires no registration and does not automatically upload your songs, lyrics, recordings, microphone content or projects to the developer. Core features work offline once the necessary files are available.
This notice applies to the Singing Stream Savior desktop app and launcher provided by Noon (NoonIsAwesome).
Your data stays on your computer
The app has no analytics telemetry that automatically reports individual usage to the developer. Playback, lyric editing, built-in audio processing, UVR vocal separation and recording are based on local processing. The app accesses the files and audio devices you select and stores song lists, settings, projects, caches and necessary error logs locally.
You control your local data. Uninstalling may leave projects, recordings or caches in other folders. Cloud-drive syncing and system backups follow your settings; they are not uploads initiated by the app to the developer.
Core features work offline
With the required components, models, local media and lyrics available, core playback, library management, lyric editing and local audio processing work without internet access. Broadcasting to a streaming platform still requires a network connection. Third-party plug-ins may have separate licensing or connectivity requirements.
Lyric searches, cover searches and optional online features
Lyric search uses the song title or text in the search field as keywords to query the LRCLIB lyrics database directly. Matching lyrics are returned to the app for you to select and use. Artist names or other words included in the search text are also part of the query. This is a text lookup, not an upload of audio files, recordings, microphone content or lyrics you have edited.
Cover search first uses TagLib locally to read title and artist tags. If a title is missing, the song's display name or filename without its directory path may prefill the search fields. The app sends the title and optional artist in those fields to MusicBrainz to find recording and release information, then uses the returned release identifiers to obtain artwork from Cover Art Archive for preview and local use. This does not require uploading the audio file or existing artwork.
These requests and responses travel directly between your computer and the service providers, not through the developer's servers. The app does not separately report the queries or search results to the developer. The developer does not receive your library, song files or individual usage history through these searches.
YouTube playback or subtitle retrieval still sends the relevant video URL or identifier to YouTube/Google. Update checks and model/component downloads connect to sources such as GitHub. Providers may receive IP addresses, application names and versions, request times and other ordinary connection information under their own policies. Open-source software does not mean an online provider keeps no logs.
Searches and update checks may run automatically, so not using YouTube does not guarantee zero network requests. To avoid external connections, disable available automatic online options or work offline after preparing the files. Audio, song lists and lyrics routed to OBS, and data handled by third-party VST3 plug-ins or remote services, follow your settings and those services' practices.
Diagnostics and voluntary contact
Creating local error logs or exporting diagnostics does not automatically send them to the developer. The developer receives the messages or attachments you choose to send. Review any device information, file paths, song names or URLs before sending; do not send passwords, private keys or files you do not wish to share.
Information you provide is used for replies, troubleshooting and necessary maintenance, not individual advertising tracking. Use the contact channel below to ask about, correct or request deletion of it. Retention is limited to support and necessary retention needs; third-party platforms, backups or legal requirements may limit removal. Do not include sensitive information in public comments or issues.
Changes to this notice
This notice and related explanations will be updated if future features change how data is handled. Refer to the update date and the features of the version you use.
Open-source projects and services used for searches
LRCLIB provides lyrics lookup; MusicBrainz provides recording and release metadata; Cover Art Archive is the artwork service jointly provided by MusicBrainz and the Internet Archive; TagLib is the open-source library used locally to read audio tags. The links below point to the relevant source code or official service documentation, not destinations for uploading your audio files.
